Conservation restoration for the Chapel of Santa Cristina

In 2017, the Chapel of Santa Cristina, a precious historical architecture in the center of Gallipoli, was the subject of an extraordinary renovation. The project aimed to preserve its historical identity with careful technical solutions, in full respect of the original structure.

Safety and functionality with integrated systems

The project involved the construction of a new electrical system, essential to ensure safety and functionality according to current standards. This was accompanied by a careful structural revision, designed to ensure the preservation of the building over time.

Interior renovated respecting the historical context

The interior wall surfaces have been completely coated to restore decoration and coherence to the rooms. The finishes, carefully selected, respect the architectural and spiritual identity of the chapel.

Traditional materials for a preserved identity

The wooden roof has been redone according to traditional techniques, in line with the original layout of the chapel. The new floor in cocciopesto combines aesthetics, resistance and historical consistency, recalling ancient techniques with a contemporary vision.

Tradition and innovation in a renovated sacred space

The restoration of the Chapel of Santa Cristina combines historical protection and plant innovation, returning to the community a place of worship renewed, welcoming and faithful to its cultural and spiritual roots.
